Taliis Map Editor

This is a FAQ post about the given Topic. We will keep it up to date from time to time.

1. Where can I download the Taliis Map editor?
   Well, we decided to make the Map Editor semi public. That means, we dont want to have small hack kiddies using it to do some stupid things on live servers. This why every new release of the Editor is available for only 2 days! After these two days the download will get removed and you'll have to wait for the next one.
2. What are the features of the editor?
   Read the post about the release. A updated feature list can found there.
3. Why its written in Java?
   Because of the multi platform features and to show people that we can make better tools in Java then most of them in C++. Even its a bit more difficult.
4. When will Taliis have an ingame like edit feature like Noggit?
   As soon someone made one. In fact we need more coders.
5. Is Taliis open source?
   Its semi open source. You can ask for the source of any tool and helper class written by us. You also will get a JavaDoc for the core classes. But the core itself is not open source.
6. I would like to have feature XYZ ..
